What’s happening to your baby?

Your baby is growing at a rapid rate now and is over 6 cms now. Fetus is measured as CRL or crown to rump length. Placenta can be seen, if it is anterior or posterior. Baby’s systems, nervous and digestive are now almost developed and growing fast. Hands and feet are formed and are visible during ultrasound.

What’s happening to you ?

Your symptoms will gradually start getting better, so you can look forward to the 2nd trimester now. Breasts will keep getting fuller and areolas getting darker. Lubrication glands in aureola will become more prominent and bluish veins will start showing. Some women also experience swelling of hands and feet, which could get complicated to varicose veins. Let your doctor know of any problems during your visit this month.
