Toddler Food Chart

At 2 years, your child has probably sampled almost all kinds of non-vegetarian food that you and your family have.

As per the feedback of our readers, we have given toddler food charts as veg and non-veg options.

One concern that non-vegetarian parents have is if their child is getting enough vitamins and minerals from vegetables and other sources. It is very easy to include vegetables and fruits in some form into your child’s diet. This is the age to form good eating habits for life, so resist the temptation to over-feed or let them feed only on chicken or fish or other items.

Also, avoid red meat as much as possible, lean meats like fish and chicken are great  for you and your children.

Serve variety of fish from fresh-water to sea fish to expand your child’s pallette.

Eggs

Eggs are full of nutrition and you can safely give one egg to your child everyday. Do not worry about whether to give egg-yolk to children or not as cholesterol present in egg-yolk is necessary for brain-development.

Constipation

Many non-vegetarian children also complain of constipation. You can keep below points in mind to help:

Give fresh fruit and salads and not juices, as juices do not have the much-needed roughage.

Drink plenty of water.

Avoid fast food and packaged food and encourage children to eat fresh and home-made food.
