What’s happening to your baby ?

Your baby is growing rapidly now, measuring well over a centimeter now. Baby’s face is forming rapidly and eyes, ears, lips , nose, cheeks and chin are taking shape. If you have an ultrasound this week, you will be able to hear your baby’s heart, beating at close to 150 beats per minute.

What’s happening to you ?

You may notice a slight rounding of your tummy, although it still too early for anyone else to notice. You may also feel some emotional tugs like elation or fear or a sense of unreality. Heartburn and gas may become common. Try to take small frequent meals to keep up your energy especially if you have severe morning sickness. It is important to fillow a good diet during pregnancy.
