How to make Beetroot baby food recipes
Beetroot should be well-cooked when given to babies. It can be steamed, boiled, roasted or baked. Wash the beetroot well in running water to remove all dirt.
For steaming, roasting or baking, scrub using a blunt knife to clean but do not peel before cooking. Cook whole till it cooked well and then remove the skin and cut or chop as desired.
For boiling, peel the skin after washing and cleaning thoroughly, the cut into small pieces and boil with just enough water. Too much water will cause nutrients to get lost. You can boil beetroot when making soup or purees for baby’d food.
Always follow the 3 day wait rule when starting any new food item.
