Salt and sugar

Salt and sugar is best not given to baby before they turn 1 year. Breastmilk and other foods and baby takes has enough sodium, so her little body needs no extra salt. Infact, extra salt can do harm to their tiny, developing bodies.

Experts believe that sugar offered during first year can lead to kids preferring sweet food and not being willing to try savoury and natural food items. It is hence best for babies to introduce them to the natural tastes of fruits and vegetables without additional salt or sugar.
